Mineral Offer Check

Got a letter offering to buy your mineral rights?

That first offer is almost never the best one — it's just the first. For one flat fee, we take your offer to competing buyers and show you, in plain English, what your minerals actually draw on the open market.

OWNER-SIDE ONLY  ·  NO PERCENTAGE OF YOUR SALE  ·  TEXAS A&M GEOLOGIST  ·  NOT A BROKER OR APPRAISER

Why that letter is probably a lowball

How it works

  1. You answer 8 short questions (below) and send a photo of the offer letter. Fifteen minutes, tops.
  2. We package your property — county, legal description, acreage, production, royalty history — the way buyers want to see it.
  3. We run a 7–10 day bid round with 8–10 active buyers and log every bid and every pass.
  4. You get a one-page report: the letter offer, every competing bid, the top bid, and the exact dollar difference.
  5. You decide. Sell to the top bidder, negotiate, or keep your minerals. Our fee is the same either way — that's the point.

One flat price. No cut of your sale.

$195 per offer check, paid upfront

Includes the full bid round and your one-page report. We never take a percentage of what you sell for, and we never get paid by buyers — so the only interest we have is getting you the real number. If you sell, you keep 100% of the price.

Who's behind this

Mineral Offer Check is run by Matt Moravits, a Texas A&M–trained geologist (B.S., Geology) based in the Houston area. Matt built this service after watching how mineral buying actually works: the first letter is a guess priced in the buyer's favor, and owners almost never learn what they left on the table. This service exists to fix that — with geology knowledge, organized legwork, and a flat fee you can hold in your hand.

To be plain about what this is not: Matt is not a landman, broker, appraiser, or attorney, and this is not an appraisal or legal advice. It's a bid-collection and comparison service. What it gives you is real offers from real buyers — the strongest evidence of value there is.

Questions owners ask

Do I have to sell?
No. Plenty of clients just want to know. The report is yours either way.

What if the letter offer turns out to be fair?
Then your report says so, with the bids to prove it — and you'll sign (or pass) knowing it. That certainty is what the $195 buys.

How long does it take?
Most bid rounds finish in 7–10 business days.

What do you need from me?
The 8 answers below, a photo of the offer letter, and a recent royalty statement if you receive one. If you don't know an answer, say so — "don't know" is normal, and we work around it.

Is my information shared?
Your property details go only to the buyers in your bid round, for the purpose of bidding. Your information is never sold.

Answer these 8 questions to get started:

  1. Your name, phone, and email — and is anyone else on the title with you?
  2. County (or counties) where the minerals are, and the legal description if you have it.
  3. About how many net mineral acres do you own? (Don't know? Say so.)
  4. Are you receiving royalty checks? Roughly how much per month, or in the last 12 months?
  5. Who is the operator, if you know it?
  6. The offer you received: how much, from which company, and what deadline did they give you?
  7. How did you come to own these — inherited, bought, family land?
  8. What would make this a win: highest price, a fast simple close, or just knowing what they're worth?
To start: email your answers and a photo of the offer letter to matt@mineraloffercheck.com. You'll hear back within one business day with next steps and the secure payment link for the $195 flat fee.
